Hye... a new updates.. Youth@Media will no longer act as a website/community project..

We'll be on asiastream.tv as our own channel... here's some info about it:

The objectives:

1. To display the expressions by youth on certain issues.
2. As a platform for them to pitch their thoughts, whereby the traditional media had ignored them.
3. To seek what is the best for them so we can cater with their need and expectation.
4. As a medium where they can channel their philosophies, ideas on improving their lifestyles.
5. As a multi-purpose melting pot, where they can sit back and enjoy the very fresh contents on political scene, cultural, youth rights etc.


The messages:

1. To encourage i-education or better known as interactive education, whereby the youth can learn something new from their peers all over the world.
2. To create some sort of global awareness among local youth, so that they can be networking with others without having the difficulties of geographical conditions.
3. They can gain new experiences on understanding their rights to pitch up their thoughts.
4. Their voices will be stronger and will be heard.
5. We will create the toughest new generation that full of knowledge and knowing their rights.


The concept:

1. A channel that full with youth and young generation’s thoughts.
2. As a hub for short, straight forward, yet moderate documentaries among youth issues.
3. A simple presentation but full with ideas and philosophies.
4. As a channel whereby every youth can be their own journalist and editor.
5. User-interactivity interface, where they can comment and argue on the issues.


Target Audience:

Demographic Profile: The audience age range must start from the age of 16 to 25 years old. Both genders, male and female. They should know how to use the internet.

Psychographic Profile: Our main objective is to get the youth from all over the country to watch the show and pitch up their expression towards issues. We would like to provoke the youth emotions that are very curios on certain things especially involving real editorial. Youth who cannot curb their enthusiasm will follow the every segments of the channel.

The Segments:
Wassup:
A program that will be highlighting on the successful youths (in various field such as volunteering, education, young entrepreneurship, etc) and their secret to success. We will also provide the youth with career advises from the great gurus.
Hype:
What are the latest youth’s events around the town. What is cool and not.

Stream Noise:

A collection of documentaries with issues from the youth’s perspectives.

Blurb:

The interviews with the youths around the town (even on the roadside) on current issues such as unemployed graduates, education systems, even politics. The faces are real and the thoughts are sincere and honest!

Get in touch with the self-own-journalist by browsing their works. You can also share your thoughts by commenting the works or send your work too to Youth@Media.
