The 1st KL Alternative Bookfest (KLAB) is basically a gathering of small, independent publishers to get together to sell, launch and discuss books. Among the events being planned are book launches and a book giveaway - where you can drop off books you no longer want. Participating booksellers are Gerakbudaya, SIRD, Tokobuku, Silverfish, Matahari, Zi, Kinibooks, Monsoon, Suarasuara, Holograms, Sindiket Soljah, Sisters in Islam and Project OMG.
